Eastern Cheerleaders head to UCA Nationals this Thursday!
For the second time in all of Eastern High School’s history, the Cheerleaders are taking their talent down to Disney World in Orlando, Florida for the UCA National Championship competition. First year Head Coach Tyra Anderson has been a part of the program as a cheerleader and assistant coach before taking over as head coach this year. She has put in countless hours to bring this team to the successful ranking they are at today.
Coach Anderson isn’t the only factor in the team’s success, the team takes everything they do extremely seriously to ensure they are well prepared. Eastern Cheer is a very close team that supports one another and wants nothing but the best for themselves and those that have helped them. This season the team has already won 1st in nearly every competition they have attended. Their victories include UCA Bluegrass regionals, the competition that qualifies teams to go to UCA Nationals in Disney. The team’s sendoff was Tuesday, February 6 2018; they performed their perfected routine, for the last time in Kentucky, to all their friends, family, and fans that could make it to come and support.
The girls board their plane Thursday morning, February 8th, to finally make it to the height of their season, competing in Disney World with all the best teams in the nation. Send your love and ‘good luck’ wishes to them over Instagram (@_ehscheer_) or Twitter (@_EHScheer_)!
