With the Cubs winning the World Series, the MLB season is over, but high school baseball is just getting started. The 2016-17 Eastern Baseball team is already a few weeks into conditioning with a brand new coaching staff. Every coach is different, obviously, so a new play style and philosophy is expected. That can always take time to adjust to. It can also bring great excitement and new energy. For Senior Infielder Ryan Nosil, the process has been great.
“(Coach Graves) He’s one of the best coaches I’ve played under. He is very motivating and is a great coach to play for.”
Ryan also says that we can expect to see a more aggressive style of play this year. So far during conditioning they have been working on fundamentals and getting their bodies in shape.
Senior Outfielder Chase Peterson has high expectations for this year’s squad.
“We wanna win at least 25 games…I think we can win 30 with the new coaches that we have and the newfound motivation that they bring”
Eastern Baseball will continue practicing and conditioning up until the Spring. You can catch them in action this coming March when the regular season begins.
